US Hangar Development Group’s experience includes providing planning, consulting, design and construction services for a broad spectrum of aviation facilities.  Here are a few examples of our expertise.

Airship Hangar Design
Completed a Preliminary Feasibility Study for the U.S. Air Force and Lockheed Martin Aerospace for a maintenance/office and storage hangar for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System. To be located in Cudjoe Key, Florida, this unique, 5,184,000 cu. ft. airplane hangar features a rail mobility system to move the airship in and out of the hangar. Never before utilized in the aviation industry, the rail mobility system provides an excellent example of how US Hangar Development Group meets engineering challenges with new and innovative engineering solutions. Our unique solution enabled us to meet our customer’s specifications to provide both a storage facility as well as office and maintenance space.

Aviation Commerce Park Development Studies
Developed competitive market strategies for international airports to foster and promote industrial and economic development on Airport properties. Completed a two year study on US based Aviation Commerce Parks to identify the characteristics that separated successful parks from unsuccessful parks. Extensive interviews with Airport Management, Aviation commerce park tenants and business owners and identified the attributes of their site selection decisions regarding the advantages of Airport properties.

NASA Infrastructure Study
Developed a marketing and economic development strategy for the privatization of NASA’s real estate assets for the aeronautic and space industries on behalf of Boeing. Cape Canaveral, Florida

C-130 Maintenance/Repair Facility
Developed a Preliminary Services Contract for a 37,000 sq. ft. C-130 Maintenance and Repair facility for Big Horn County, Wyoming. The hangar was completed in May 2008 and is now operational.

Middle East Corporate Aircraft Hangar
Designed a 340,000 sq. ft. aircraft hangar and paint facility for a private client in Dubai, which also included a restaurant, office space and maintenance area.

Single, Free Span Hangar
Single, free span 34,100 sq. ft. hangar facility at Front Range Airport (FTG), 25 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado. The largest General Aviation hangar in Colorado provides hangar space for three (3) G-IV aircraft, in addition to at least two (2) cabin class aircraft.

Condominium Hangar Facility
Twelve-unit condominium hangar facility at R.L. Jones Airport, Tulsa, Oklahoma, consisting of a single 35,000 sq. ft. building.

Twelve-Unit Condominium Hangars
Seven identical twelve-unit 34,500 sq. ft. condominium hangars at Front Range Airport, northeast of Denver, Colorado.

Helicopter Hangar in West Indies
Helicopter flight operations hangar in the West Indies, 5,000 sq. ft., including office space.
